I'm just going to dump a laundry list of the final activities at Davis here:
_ 7:00 breakfast at the hotel (hey! they had omelettes!)
_ 8:30 shuttled to GBSF
_ 9:00 - 12:45 met w/faculty
_ 11:45 wrap-up
_ 12:45 lunch @Thai Bistro
A stroll to the hotel later, I killed time in the lobby as I awaited the arrival of a family friend. Had to sit in the car a bit as she finished up some errands, after which I was able to visit her house, snap a few shots of the area, and drop by 413 Grande once more. A trip to Costco later, I was back at another family friend's house.. and boy was it a challenge getting the front door to open.
Embarrassing story alert:
After a home-cooked meal, I almost.. ALMOST plugged their toilet. Wow, would that have been embarrassing. But then again, I do have a bit of a mean streak (but that's only at home!).
Now? Killing time until we head out to the airport at 9, which is roughly in 50 minutes. I have a nice redeye flight to look forward to.
Update: Now? (10:07 PM CA time) Taking advantage of the free wifi in the airport terminal. Maybe I should take redeyes more often. Two minutes and I'm through security! ..none of that rushing to put everything in the plastic bins and grabbing and dashing off w/them once you're through b/c of pushy, impatient people behind you. If airport check-ins and security could always be like this, what a wonderful world that'd be. I'd be flying all the time!
